X-Wing Light Controller Version 3 for 1/29, 1/24 Studio Scale and 1/18 X-Wing, Y-Wing

This new Version 3 X-Wing Light Controller is our smallest X-Wing controller to date.

The controller allows you to light up the X-Wing engines, droid eye, and cockpit control lights, while adding improved and more dynamic lighting effects compared to the previous versions. The board comes pre-assembled and ready to use.

The biggest improvement in Version 3 is the extremely compact size. The controller measures only 23.55 mm x 12.82 mm, making it much easier to install inside tight model spaces, including smaller-scale builds where space is very limited.

Just like the previous versions, the controller is designed for clean and compact installation, using small connectors and thin wires that make routing through narrow areas much easier without the need to de-solder LEDs. The existing V2 controller was already designed around small connectors, solderless connections, and thin 26AWG wire for tight installations; Version 3 takes this idea even further with a significantly smaller board footprint and smaller JST SH connectors. 

Power requirement: 4V–5V only. Do not connect the controller to any power source above 5V, as this may damage the controller.

The new version 3 controller comes with 4 engine LEDs and a 4-microLED emitter for fiber optic effects in the cockpit. The size of the engine LED emitters is 13mm in diameter, and the 4-microLED emitter is 10.5mm X 9mm:

The 4-MicroLED emitter comes with a miniature coupler to allow an easy installation of fiber optic strands:

Supplied with the controller are clear engine inserts / heatsinks. They allow more light to pass through the engine area, creating a dramatic working-engine lighting effect. As with the previous controller versions, the heatsinks are available for 1/29, 1/24, and 1/18 scale builds.

This controller can also be used for custom lighting projects where a very small controller with animated light effects is required.
